UMF, an August challenge and future plans

Слика
Alright folks, After a long time of no posts, I decided to write a new one. The post will feature some interesting or less interesting things :) Firstly, I finally decided what am I going to do with my life. I'll quit my faculty (sadly, I really liked professors and people around me there) to start a little business with my close friends. Also, I'll definitely continue to play poker professionally because that's by far the best 'job' I could imagine. Ultra Music Festival - Split and Hvar, Croatia There are some things in my life that I simply have to do. One of them is to go to Ultra Music Festival, and luckily, for the first time since they started the project, they came to European land, to our neighbour's country - Croatia. Right after I heard about it, I bought ticket for me, then my room mate was added to the group, his brother, our best friends and another friend who we met few days before the start of the journey. Split seems to be very

Hello to all the readers, Actually, this post will feature another two big successes at poker in May. 1) I managed to cash at the biggest tournament I've played so far 2) I managed to complete my 10k challenge in no time :) 10k Challenge As you could read in the previous post, I challenged myself to make 10k euro profit until the end of July. The challenge started on the May the 1st. I went for live cash games in Grand Casino Belgrade. The game running was 2/5. I made like 2k profit on that game in 2 days. Then The Danube Poker Masters was announced. I played all 4 events: 200e side event, 500e main event, 150e bounty event and 1100e highroller event. Unfortunately I cashed only at the side event for 900e. On the main event I was busted by Eros Nastasi who played pretty f*cking awesome hands versus me! In the bounty event I was knocked out with QQ versus Greek player who called with AJ, of course A on the flop (lucky Greeks lol). On the Highroller event I played only dozen

Tana Delle Tigri (Nova Gorica) + new challenge!

Hello dear followers, Recently, after that huge up & down I mentioned in last post, I was about to take a small break from poker. I went to my hometown, had a lot of fun with good old friends, had some relaxing time in Grza, and while we were there, I got myself a phone call from my friend Loncar asking me if I'm willing to go to Tana Delle Tigre tournament in Nova Gorica, Slovenia. I called my friend from faculty asking if we had any tests, and after I was told we hadn't, I knew I was going to that tournament. The tournament was held from 24.-26. April. Beautiful lake of Grza The trip started, and I found myself in the car with Loncar and his wife. It was kinda annoying to me, but after I've met Ceca (his wife), I was pretty much okay with it. After 6 hours of traveling, we were in hotel Perla in Nova Gorica. The manager the managed us a special discount for rooms and I was happy about it. The tournament was starting at 21h, and we arrived at 19h. I took a show

Bulgarian Poker Tour and a huge up & down

Greetings followers, The day after I came back from Malta, a friend of mine, Igor Loncar, asked me if I was willing to go to Bulgarian Poker Tour. I agreed instantly, although I don't think it was a good decision. I had a party the day before we started our trip, and managed to rest only 1 hour. In the car there were few more friends of ours, so the trip didn't go too bad but I couldn't sleep either. We arrived in Pravets, small but beautiful village near Sofia, and got our rooms. RIU Pravets Resort I liked the hotel a lot even tho I didn't have the time to enjoy all of its possibilities. We had the time just to take off our baggage and to get down for the tournament. Right from the start I was feeling tired, but of course, I was going to do my best. The tournament has started and I was happy to play on the table next to the big windows so I could see the day brightness which would keep me awake as long as possible.  Players on the table weren't so

Poker365 tournament, day 3: Since I've been lazy, I decided to finish the trip with this post. On day 3, we've been having quite a lot of a hangover. The night before was so sick and we had to calm down. The tournament should have started at 4 PM so it did, but before tournament I had played some of cash game 1/2. It was time-sparing play, so I lost about 100e. Not a big deal if we look nights before and my cash outs :). My friend from Paracin who recently moved to Malta to work called me, so I went out for a drink with him. We had a nice chat, and at the end, he gave me an amulet which I'll be for sure wearing with me ever since. The tournament has started and I did re-entry. Unlike the day 1a, now I had pretty tough table with some serious faces on it. I was happy to play on the table with the guy I've been seeing online named Dillan from Netherlands, and another one who I've met in the tournament - Jack Salter. I was next to Jack on the table, and during th

To the day 2 we advance. Day 2 was hell of a day I'd say. For everyone. As the day started we managed to wake up early (by early I mean before noon). Since we were late for a breakfast at the hotel, we went out for a breakfast and coffee and we wanted to feel that Maltese spring breeze. Breakfast sandwiches were one of the best I've ever tasted. I don't even remember ingredients but it was awesome.  Time was passing by and we had to go to the casino and check in for the tournament. I could see the excitement in everyone there. Some of us had more or less experience but the ones with less experience were more excited.  The tournament started and I've got myself a nice table with Brasic, he was also the only player I knew on the table. The table was so soft and easy for me and I could feel supremacy. After 2 breaks I think I was in top 20 players chip-wise with over 65k in chips. Dinner break started and all of us enjoyed the dinner. The food wasn't THAT good,

Roadtrippin'

Good morning everyone As I said, I'm writing a report from the PlanetWin365 100k euro guaranteed prize pool poker tournament. Since I'm new at writing blogs, I'll write a short review from each of the days but I guess you'll be fine with it :) Day 1 The trip actually started at around 23:30, and I was already semi drunk. I joined the group of 3 poker players whom I knew from the past, but only one of them I knew for a longer time than 3 months :) It was kinda quiet in the car and we were talking mostly about poker-related things. Next stop was another pick up, the friend of the guy I've already knew, Ivan Dimitrijević who is a professional handball player tho I've never knew it. It looked like this could be really nice trip/tournament. The roadtrip line-up looked like: Igor Lončar - the driver, live poker player Ivan Dimitrijević - handball player, going with us just to have fun :) Dejan Josimov (Dekac) - poker player who had won the ticket online Bo

Hello everyone! At first, I'd like to introduce myself, so here it is. My name is Aleksandar Živković, I come from a little town in Serbia, Paraćin, and I'm 22 y/o. I'm a Greek language student at Belgrade University and semi-pro poker player. I like to listen to progressive and deep house music, progressive trance and some Greek music, I like to go out with friends and party, I like to travel, and I like pretty girls. I'm starting this blog for the fact I want to see and show others the progress of myself during the time at many fields. I hope you will enjoy this blog and you could learn some Greek and some poker too :) At the moment, I'm having a huge downswing at poker, so in few posts I'll explain a little bit of it. For this rainy day, I have a song to make you enjoy it if it's possible: Tonight, I'll start my road trip to Malta. With four friends, we're starting a trip tonight at about 23.00 CET, and we're going by car to the
