Roadtrippin'

Good morning everyone

As I said, I'm writing a report from the PlanetWin365 100k euro guaranteed prize pool poker tournament. Since I'm new at writing blogs, I'll write a short review from each of the days but I guess you'll be fine with it :)

Day 1

The trip actually started at around 23:30, and I was already semi drunk. I joined the group of 3 poker players whom I knew from the past, but only one of them I knew for a longer time than 3 months :)
It was kinda quiet in the car and we were talking mostly about poker-related things. Next stop was another pick up, the friend of the guy I've already knew, Ivan Dimitrijević who is a professional handball player tho I've never knew it. It looked like this could be really nice trip/tournament. The roadtrip line-up looked like: Igor Lončar - the driver, live poker player
Ivan Dimitrijević - handball player, going with us just to have fun :)
Dejan Josimov (Dekac) - poker player who had won the ticket online
Bojan Stamenković - poker player who bought his ticket via PlanetWin365 VIP shop,
myself, Aleksandar Živković - poker player who bought his ticket PlanetWin365 VIP shop also.

The time was ticking away, and all we did was talking about poker until the Croatian border. At first we thought we might have some problems because of the high risk football match between Croats and Serbs, but luckily we had none, only regular checks.

The trip trough Croatia is like the most boring trip I've ever had. Half of us slept, half of us were trying to remain awake so we could talk to Igor and make him stay awake easier. No problems were caused at any time during the trip and we past trough Croatia, Slovenia and we got to Italia.

Finally, we arrived to Treviso, Italy.
Right after the airport is a parking where we parked our car and went to the airport to check in for the flight.
After the check in, we were hanging around and even found a table-football outdoors (lol) and of course we played some :).
After it, we went for a coffee and a breakfast, and since in Serbia it was raining and probably snowing, we were happy to drink/eat it outdoors on the sunny day :). After it, we went back to the airport and met another 4 Serbian poker players who I've known from the past and a girlfriend of one of them. Our group was now even bigger, and it looked like: Igor, Ivan, Bojan, Dekac, Nikola Tončić (Džibuti), Andrej Duplančić, Aleksandar Brašić (ludi Aca, I laughed really hard because I didn't know this guy from before, and it was his nickname online, and he really is ludi (crazy) Aca :) ), Nenad Stamenković (MagicTrick) and his girlfriend - Marija (I don't know her surname but it will be Stamenković soon enough :)).

The flight was pretty cool, lasted only 2 hours trough which I, and the most of our group were sleeping.

We landed. The feeling was awesome, back to Malta after one year. The weather... Oh man, I like the weather in Malta sooo much, especially on these early spring months. It was like 20 degrees, just perfect for me.

We have had some problems finding Ludi Aca on the airport since he got kinda lost himself and we were in the group, but after we've found him, we met another Serbian, but this time not a professional poker player but a friend of mine who I've been knowing for a years now, Marko Savić (Vitjsa). He was one of the executives at the tournament, and he arranged us a mini-van to our hotels since the Hilton hotel had been paid from the following day. We went to Sliema, and found awesome hotel in the main street, with a restaurants and a sea view for just 25e (12.5e per person). I was so amazed already. We went out for a lunch, were drinking some and went for a walk after. I could see on the faces of our group that everyone was so happy to be there. Me also. From the beginning it was so cool, and I knew there would be a things to be happy about at the end. The football game was starting, and we went to a market for a beer, peanuts and some sweets. We were expecting that our football team would play a lot better, but after the 2nd goal of Croats, like everyone of us just felt asleep because we were so tired. Anyway, we woke up at around 22:00 o clock, and went to the Paceville, St. Julains to party. Actually, I made them go to the casino because I had to meet a friend of mine who was working there for some time now. Right next to the casino we could see the Hilton hotel where we were staying from the next day, here is a pic of it (and sorry, I still don't have a lot of pictures but I will fill the blog with pics after I get them ©PokerSrbija):

Hilton Marina Hotel, St. Julians, Malta

After I met a friend of mine, oh well, I couldn't resist, and I sit on the cash game table. The blinds were 1/2 and I sat with 200e. The players on the table were like the worst I've ever played versus. Friends went to the  casino bar and started drinking and kept watching me, and after 3 hours of playing I've make a 1000e profit already. I was so happy that I ran good, and my motivation was blowing. After the cash game, I took a walk with the remaining guys near me and showed them Paceville, and they were amazed and were like "OMG WE GOTTA GO THERE TOMORROW". So we went back to the hotel and slept. Also, Igor played cash game, was about +/- 0 at the and, Bojan also, he had also made a profit, and Andrej also. Already a good start poker-wise for us.

Since this post would get too-long-to-read, I've decided to write about next 2 days in next post in the next few days... Greets
