Bulgarian Poker Tour and a huge up & down

Greetings followers,

The day after I came back from Malta, a friend of mine, Igor Loncar, asked me if I was willing to go to Bulgarian Poker Tour. I agreed instantly, although I don't think it was a good decision.
I had a party the day before we started our trip, and managed to rest only 1 hour. In the car there were few more friends of ours, so the trip didn't go too bad but I couldn't sleep either. We arrived in Pravets, small but beautiful village near Sofia, and got our rooms.

I liked the hotel a lot even tho I didn't have the time to enjoy all of its possibilities. We had the time just to take off our baggage and to get down for the tournament. Right from the start I was feeling tired, but of course, I was going to do my best.

The tournament has started and I was happy to play on the table next to the big windows so I could see the day brightness which would keep me awake as long as possible.

Players on the table weren't so good, but not bad either, but I was the one who dictates the tempo of the game. It was really fine for me that I wasn't getting 5-bet like never or something. The guy even folded pocket queens face up on my btn vs blind 5-bet with 99s. I was going up from starting 15k to the 60k when the dinner break appeared. I was really hungry and ate a lot of food, so when I came back, I was almost sleeping. It was 20h and I was semi-sleeping on the table. My stack was melting away and I finished the day with 13k.

Day 2 started good for me, but didn't last long. I managed to double up to 30k, but threw it away in an all-in A4 vs AQ, preflop all in. Busto, but happy to go back home and get some rest, finally.

I was hanging around 1 day in my hometown Paracin, then came back to Belgrade due to faculty obligations.
I was almost busto online since my bankroll was down to 250e, but I worked out a bit on my mindset and managed to get back to 1500e in few days playing HUSNGs at first, then switching to NL50/NL100. After I have seen my bankroll going up fast, I thought I could do whatever I want. I probably could, but I was too greedy. I started to play NL400 with 4k bankroll on 4 tables, even had a day where I couldn't find NL400 table so I sat down to NL2000 table with 1k. Two hands I played there were the most disturbing two hands of my life.

After a week of big winnings where I won around 5k I continued, but managed to bust my roll versus a fish on NL400 HU. I was down to 2k bankroll and sat down vs him, and my EGO killed me. I knew I was better and I thought every hand could be mine. But it turned out differently. I lost almost whole of my stack and was down to 500e bankroll where I stopped.

After this 2-week roller coaster period, I started to play a lot more live games because I felt like the players live are really really lot worse than online players. I started to go to Grand Casino Belgrade where I'll be playing 1/2 or 2/5 regularly. After few days of live grind, Igor Loncar again asked me if I wanted to go to the Slovenia (Nova Gorica) to play a 500e buy-in tournament and I instantly agreed. You can expect a story of a "Tana Delle Tigri" tournement in next blog post :).

Here's a song for all of you who like to relax and enjoy the music:

Keep your heads up and do what you like! 'till the next post, kisses :)
